Well, it came & it happened.... How did a year go by already? It has been a tough year... but we have to keep looking forward knowing that we will be able to be together again someday & let the memories & good times carry us along on the hard days!!!
Today, the 1 year mark of when Grandpa passed away, we held the 1st annual Keith L. Young Memorial 5K race! Wow - what a turn out! Yes, it was the most awesome day!! I know that Dave & his mom didn't expect more than 100 when they started the planning & even the night before when the online registration closed with around 265... they expected maybe 300 for the day of the race!!! Well in the end there was 383 that raced & many who volunteered & spectated!! I thought it was way fun way to get together & have fun!! The prizes (including $250 ea. for the top runners & walkers) & many door prizes that were given away were great!! So even if you weren't a "Race" winner SO many still went away with amazing prizes!!! Awesome!!
I tried to build a slide show of the whole day & the slide website only allows 100-250 photos... so I deleted a ton from this & tried to make this mostly of family... so we could remember a bit of how the day was!!!
