4th grade field trip to Cody

Here is a little bit from our trip to Cody, WY for Tyler's 4th grade field trip 2 weeks ago. The weather was so crummy. It rained & snowed almost the whole time. We stopped in Thermopolis to go to the Wax museum (which was very neat for those history buffs out there.) Then we traveled onto Cody where we spent a couple hours at the Buffalo Bill Museum, ate dinner, then the 4th graders got together & signed matching shirts with each other before retiring for the night. It is fun that the teachers book these little log cabins (off of a hotel) for everyone to stay in, rustic like the "olden" days... but still nice & comfy.

Then the next morning we had a big group breakfast at the hotel & went back to the Buffalo Bill Museum to take tours & walk through all the exhibits. (We really enjoyed all the things to look at & their gun museum was 2000 too many guns for us... considering Madi & I know nothing about guns, but the boys sure enjoyed it!) To end the trip we walked down to the park, had personal pan pizza's, pop, & the kids were finally able to run around a bit without getting rained on & the snow luckily had melted (one store clerk told us it had rained there for 30 hours straight... not in WY?)

So in the end... all the kids loaded back onto the bus, we took our family & traveled to a neighboring town about an hour away to see our good friends from High School/College the Jones'. We got to spend a little time with them & their cute kids before we had to rush home.

Our kids had a blast with them. Our Madison found that Lily is about 100% her twin in the things she loves to do.... Brady loved playing with their little one & helping her around, Tyler & their Madyson loved riding the bikes through all the puddles & mud, etc. It was good to see them & we are grateful that they let us stay with them in their awesome home. (They have been remodeling & it is so nice!!) Love you guys!

Looks like besides the weather you had a great time. Glad Madi has found a great friend too!
