TYLER & the Pinewood Derby

Today was Tyler's last "Official" cub scout Pinewood Derby! He & Dave had worked a couple days on his "simple" car for the race & it was set & ready. We are so excited to report that TYLER won 1st place in his Webelos den & then.... (Drum-roll) 2nd place overall, out of 34 race cars!!!! Isn't that the coolest!!! So here is Tyler today, on cloud nine... taking home 2 trophies!!! (So for any up & coming Cubs... we recommend the simple wedge of wood - it does really well!!)

They had a good time & we had a pot-luck breakfast, which was wonderful & we ate to our heart's content until it was over!!

Here he is in the finals with the 1st & 3rd place finalists!! What a way to end his Cub Scout career in the derby!!! (Only 5 years left & we get to start over!) Until then!!
