Just another Friday - -
Here we are having the time of our lives!! Especially since mom went through & organized all our stuff again - we can actually use all the Barbie items without to much hassle of finding them all!! You can see that Brady enjoys playing right along & has his own little seat - right in & amongst all the stuff!!
Then today the 4th grade earned a reward day & so Tyler got to wear his pj's & have crazy hair day... being that his hair is so short & the stores don't sell hair dye (colored) except on Halloween... this was the next best option besides having to put paint in his hair... so I am glad he chose this option!! He looks a bit like he is going to have a headache after a couple hours!! He is also just about 3 weeks away from earning his Webelos in Scouting. Last night we had the magician from "House of Fun" in Evanston come to our pack meeting for our "Abracadabra" night... it was cool.
Poor Garrett is having a bit of a rough time in school this year... as he was put into a very hard class. The school part isn't hard - but the KIDS are. So after all the other things they have been dealing with this year ... someone has decided to start being a "criminal/thief" ... to make a long story short - cell phones, a diabetic supply kit, & other misc. things are all gone. You would think after 2 visits from the Police dept. would help end the spell ... But, nope - Garrett was the victim this week & found his drum sticks in a garbage can 2 days ago... only to return to school yesterday & have them stolen. Luckily it was something easy to replace. It is just hard for him to struggle through a tough year & not feel very safe! What do you do? UGH!!
Here is a cute clip of Garrett in the 2nd to the last round of the School Geography bee last week. He ended up placing 2nd & took 1st in the Spelling Bee the day before. He seems to do quite well with the stress & here you can see him finally deal with some of it! Enjoy & have a great weekend!!

Looks like lots of fun! Too bad we don't live closer. O.k. Garrett, I've had it. I'm coming to Green River. You tell me who these little punks are and I'll go take care of business! I'm not scared.
We wish we really knew who they were - cause his mommy would be talking to their mommy & daddy... but not even the police, teacher, principal, etc... know & Garrett is stumped too. (I have a deep feeling that it is someone struggling or having a really hard time & they possibly do want to get caught so they can get out of their situation at home?, etc.... but since the police came & did a big spill about all that would/could happen - it seems to have only gotten worse. Ex: removed from home to state custody, put on a "NEW" special program where they are monitored by the county by an ankle bracelet (some type of new arrest - but live in the community with limits), etc.... Garrett came home terrified & crying after this police visit - cause he couldn't believe how awful it could/would be if someone did get caught or continued on this path! Oh... it is a new day & time & I can surely see the signs of the time. (I so fear for the younger kids & the future that awaits them.)
