Young Author's Tea....

Yes, another Young Author's Tea... Garrett was asked to be the 7th grade student to share a piece of poetry he had entered into the contest at a special awards "tea" for the school district. (He was lucky at the last minute to find a computer lab in his school that was open so he could print a copy of his work, as the director didn't bring their copies & he didn't have any of his poems memorized... so he dashed out when the 1st grader started reading... I didn't think he was going to make it back in time & did by a small second!! Whew!) He did a great job & we are excited that he won 1st in his school, 1st in the district, & now we are waiting on the results from the State Competition.... T.B.C :)
